Disney is a familial platform. It broadcasts superb documentaries of National Geographic, its own series (nostalgia…). Of course, it owns the Star Wars franchise, whose series are often far better than the films! That’s a good start, but Disney is also proving to be quite creative and dynamic with its new series. I had to make a choice by limiting my top 6. There really are a lot that are great to watch.
My favorites

- A thousand blows / London, 1880. Two Jamaican friends arrive in the East End. One of them become a boxing star. By the creator of Peaky Blinders.
- Desperate housewives / Drama / Four women, best friends, living in the same street, four lifestyles. A smart series, a milestone !
- Doctor Harrow / Murders investigation / A grumpy pathologist in Brisbane solves murders with non-conventional and controversial methods
- Modern family / Comedy, sitcom / Three generations, a dozen of lifestyles… Arguing, caring, supporting themselves. Family…
- Not dead yet / Comedy / Nell is having an early midlife crises, and now, as if that weren’t enough, she sees ghosts. Oh boy, life is really not simple…
- Only murders in the building / Crime & comedy / Three neighbours who have nothing in common join forces to solve murders. Brillant !
- The intern / Justice & investigation / A 50 years old woman, ex mayor, ex convict, begins a second career as an apprentice judge!

- HPI / Crime & comedy / A mother with an exceptionnal IQ helps the police, with her very own style !
- Jessie / A young woman dreaming to become an actress becomes the nanny of four turbulent children
- Mère / fille / comedy, very short program / Isa, 38 years old, her daughter Barbara, 14 years old. Between arguments and ruses, two young women.
- Renegade Nell / Adventure, dystopic History / England, 18th century. Helped by a pixie, a young woman fights for justice.

- Sherlock / The famous detective, transposed in our time. Smart, and a excellent casting.
- Shogun / History / Japan, XVIIth century. In a country divided by feuds between clans, foreign nations try to gain influence
- The Acolyte / STAR WARS / During the High Republic, 100 years before the battle of Yavin, peace reigns thanks to the Jedi’s order. But several masters are murdered. May the order be more fragile than it seems ?
- The catch / Heist, thieves / A woman running a private detective agency discovers that her fiancé has conned her
- The wizards of waverly place / Magic, sitcom / A family, the parents and their three teenage children. Normal, except the children are wizards.
Not the best series, but interesting, make your own opinion
- Buffy / Fantastic, teen series / Once in each generation, a girl get the gift to fight and slay demonic creatures
- Castle / Romance, crime / Richard Castle is a famous mystery novelist. In search for a new source of inspiration, he becomes a consultant to the NYPD.
- English teacher : Evan, gay, single, thirty-five, is trying to instill a little critical thinking in jaded high school students.
- How I met your mother / Sitcom / New York, the 2000’s. Ted and his group of friends go through the turmoils of young adult’s life
- Lie to me / Investigation / Cal Lightman is an expert in facial expressions and body moves, he can tell when someone is lying. A worthy talent for the FBI, the justice or wealthy clients
- New girl / sitcom / Jess shares a flat with three young men and turns their lives upside down
- Paradise / The President has been murdered. Here, in a small city designed for ultra-rich, protected from everything, even the end of the world…
- Skeleton crew (Star Wars) : Four children find a spaceship and launch it into space by mistake. With the help of a pirate, they try to return home.
