Ezra Bridger grew up alone on Lothal after the death of his rebel parents. Lothal is a planet located in the Outer Rim Territories. The planet is occupied by the Empire, but smugglers of all kinds manage to deal in contraband. Ezra survives on petty theft and occasionally collects Stormtrooper helmets. He steals a chest without really knowing what it contains, and triggers the ire of the rebel team who coveted it. The situation degenerates, and everyone is forced to flee together.
Of the five team members, almost everyone seems to find the kid unbearable, especially Zeb, the Lasat, but also Sabine, the Mandalorian fighter, Hera, the twi’lek pilot, even Chopper, the astronaut droid. But Kanan, their leader, one of the last Jedis, sees in Ezra extraordinary courage and ability.
As the rebellion, scattered across the galaxy, begins to organize itself, the small team will relentlessly confront the worst enemies, even destabilizing the powerful empire.
The very best of Star Wars!
I’m a Star Wars fan, but I’ve been disappointed by the botched script of most of the films and series. Nothing like this with this beautiful series! The quality of the script is beyond reproach. Despite the multiplicity of characters and locations, there’s no inconsistency here. In addition to the heroes of the series, there are a number of “stars” from the saga: Mon Mothma, Organa father and daughter, Ashoka – even Yoda makes an appearance. As for the bad guys, they’re all there: Thrawn mainly, but also Vader, Maul and of course Palpatine.
Faithful to the saga, the series offers the best of it: grandiose space battles, epic adventure, Jedi fights, fantastic creatures… As the episodes unfold, we explore the worlds where the legends were born. Swept up in the action and adventure, you can almost feel the Force surrounding the heroes. At the heart of the action or in moments of respite, emotion is present all the time.
My only regret is that the episodes are a little short. A magnificent script, well served by the 5 stars cast (see below!), whose voices endear the characters. Well done!
