Below are the NEW series released in 2025 (not new seasons), on Amazon Prime, Disney+ and Netflix. Those are series I have seen and liked ! My favourites series are in bold.
AMAZON Prime Video
- Scarpetta / In 1990 and again in 2026, a medical examiner (N. Kidman) leads the investigation, aided by a gruff cop and her husband, an FBI agent. But between a radiant sister and a niece who’s cut off from the world, her family life complicates matters.
DISNEY+
- Lucky Luke / The lonesome cowboy finds himself tasked with protecting a young girl from all the outlaws of the Wild West
NETFLIX
- How to get to Heaven from Belfast / Three young women, bound by a childhood secret, embark on a crazy investigation to find a friend.
- Run away / The Harlan’s Coben adaptation, a January tradition, but this one is good ! A father (James Nesbitt) is looking for his daughter, and becomes the main suspect in her boyfriend’s murder
Series I didn’t find very good…
- The Club of CEO / Disney+ / A documentary that purports to showcase the lives of female business celebrities, but is nothing more than a pretentious display of the problems of rich, superficial women. If it’s meant to be feminist, it ends up being the exact opposite.
- Love Story / Disney+ / The story of the famous couple Jonh Kennedy Jr and Carolyn Bassett – A misogynistic and cliché-ridden plot. Just because you have a good subject doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed a good series! The casting and direction aren’t convincing. The women here are portrayed as pitiful, whiny, and manipulated. I wanted to watch it, but I gave up after three episodes.
