Daniel De Luca is a former member of an elite Marine Corps unit. He is staying as a guest at the luxurious Costiera Hotel in Posidano, on the Amalfi Coast (near Naples, in southern Italy). The owner is a friend, and Alice, his youngest of two daughters, has been missing for a month. Daniel is investigating to find her, while providing private detective services to wealthy clients.
With a strong character, just like her sister Adele, who runs the hotel, the young woman does not seem to want to be found. But De Luca can count on a few loyal friends to support him. What’s more, American on his mother’s side and Italian on his father’s, he combines a taste for action with nerve and charm. These are qualities that come in handy in this corner of paradise, which hides many twisted secrets.
An Italian nonchalance
An action series that takes its time, A+ for originality 😉 The atmosphere reflects the idyllic nature of the place. Here, people cultivate a zest for life, warmth, and an abundance of color under a bright sun. Admittedly, the investigation progresses with each episode, with secondary ramifications, and there’s no dull moment. But it is almost the Amalfi Coast that seems to be the main character in this unusual series, which is full of charm and well worth a look.
